A little about me…

There are a few rules (you can find them at the end of this post) and one of them is to share how my blog started. So here we go… Our first expat destination was Amman and as soon as I knew we were moving I started a blog for family and friends to keep updated. It then became part of our life there. When we moved to Bali, I didn’t really feel there was place for another expat blogger and later in the Maldives, well there wasn’t really that much to write about. But now we are in Mauritius and here I find I have material enough and lots of stuff to share. So I do. I am an expat mum and writing also helps me to stay zen. I enjoy it a lot. I have yet to decide if am any good at it. English is not my mother tongue and I feel it when I write, but I don’t have any other language where I feel as much as ease, so I am stuck with that and you, if you read me, are stuck with my probably fair amount of grammatical mistakes, here and there.

A piece of advice

Well well well, that’s not an easy one. My first advice will probably be: don’t post if you are not satisfied and don’t post just to post. Basically, what I mean, is if you know it’s not good or you know that it isn’t worth  it, don’t post. There is no reason to put pressure on yourself just to post something. This is for most of us a hobby, so it should give you pleasure.

My second advice, write about things you really want to write about. It’s important.  You audience can feel it! Sometimes I start writing about something and it gives me no pleasure so I just erase and start all over again.
